Bob Caswell: Google GDrive Coming Soon But Facing Serious Issues
-
Paul Ellis · 1 year agoYeah, I don't know if I could trust any company to "store 100%" of my "user data". They could know what sites I search, what news I read (RSS), who e-mails/IMs me (Gmail and Gtalk), what I look like (Picasa Web), my credit card info and what I buy (Checkout and Froogle), where I travel (Maps), and my financial portfolio (Finance). Kind of scary really.

Bob Caswell · 1 year agoWell, when you put it that way, Paul, it makes me wonder if releasing a GDrive would be much different than what's already happening... I think so even if it is striking how much "they" already know.

Paul Ellis · 1 year agoYeah it kind of surprised me when I started making that list. Fortunately for me I don't quite use all of those services. But after seeing that list I'd be weary of using any type of Gdrive service for significant files I have. Just think of throwing more sensitive data on Google, taxes, Quicken files, etc. It could get worse.
